Darci Whitehorne, MSPT, E-RYT Clinic Director Darci received her Masters in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 1998. As a triathlete, she was drawn to the academic nature of orthopedic diagnosis and treatment. In 2003 she became full body certified in Active Release Techniques and continued to focus on manual therapy and therapeutic exercise. Darci’s study of movement led her to the study of yoga and its therapeutic value. She completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training with Kim Valeri from YogaSpirit Studios and continued her study with Barabara Benagh by completing her intensive Art of Teaching training. While continuing to focus on outpatient orthopedics, Darci also served as adjunct faculty at the Community College of Vermont teaching Anatomy and Physiology I and II and at Castleton State College in the Exercise Science Department.
Ronna Davine, MSPT Physical Therapist Ronna Davine is a 1988 graduate from the University of Vermont’s School of Allied Health Sciences. For the past 27 years, her focus has been on outpatient orthopedics and she has worked with a varied clientele from weekend warriors to Olympic hopefuls. She comes to the Therapydia team with extensive experience and a comprehensive approach to treatment, utilizing manual therapy as well as therapeutic exercise. Ronna’s manual therapy skills are eclectic, using muscle energy techniques, strain/counter strain and Mulligan methods. Ronna’s physical therapy treatment philosophy aligns with Therapydia’s core values of one-on-one care and individualized treatment plans. With her diverse skill set and extensive experience, she helps her patients reach their goals. Ronna is a Rutland native and stays very active with her 3 sons.
Dena Goldberg, MSPT, CSCS Physical Therapist Dena graduated from University of Connecticut with a Masters degree in Physical Therapy in 2006. During her last year of school she completed her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), which increased her interest in developing her practice in orthopedics, with a strong interest in Spine care. During the past 10 years of practice, she completed all of The Mckenzie Institute course work associated with McKenzie Method (Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy). Although Spine care has been a main professional focus and interest, Dena has also brings a diverse therapeutic experience in balance assessment/treatment, Sports Medicine, Gary Gray, various manual techniques, work-related injuries, and general orthopedic diagnoses. Dena enjoys working in a clinic environment that allows for collaborations between different clinicians, who provide various schools of thoughts and integrations of many therapeutic methods, with primary focus on optimal patient care, patient empowerment, and lifelong wellness.
Heather Klein, PTA Physical Therapy Assistant Heather graduated in 2017 from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at San Juan College in New Mexico. She has recently joined our team at Therapydia and currently teaches TRX and Strength and Conditioning classes here at the clinic. Heather’s long history of being active and participating in a wide variety of sports led to her interest in Physical Therapy, and she is enthusiastic about sharing her passion for health and fitness with the Therapydia community. When she’s not at the clinic, you might find Heather paddleboarding on the lakes of Vermont, or running and biking the trails of the Green Mountains.
Parvati Lina Hanson, E-RYT 500 Yoga Instructor She started her own yoga practice in her early teens and began teaching in the greater NY metropolitan area in 2001. Yoga has been her main profession ever since. Lina finished the professional level Kripalu training in 2010 and received her Sanskrit name Parvati.She offers group classes on all levels, private yoga sessions, prenatal yoga, meditation technique, Pranayama, guided meditation, chair yoga, yoga workshops and theme classes for special occasions/celebrations. Lina feels passionate about teaching Yoga whether it is in larger groups or in private sessions.In addition to being a Yoga teacher, her experience as a group fitness instructor spans 15 years in the general fitness industry. She has taught a variety of classes such as Body Sculpting, Kick Boxing, Step up and stretch classes etc. Her own physical training background also includes many years of dance and Shotokan Karate. Lina moved to Vermont from Jersey City with her husband and their young son in 2008. While in the greater NY metropolitan area she also studied and performed as an actress /singer /dancer. Lina came to the US from Sweden in 1997 to pursue her acting career. Singing is still a big part of her life and is something she can bring to Yoga by Chanting.Currently Parvati is offering most of her classes at Therapydia, but she also offers Pranayama and Meditation in West Haven at The Studio at Roots and Wings Academy. Michelle Charron Office Manager Michelle has administrative experience in health and educational settings. She enjoys working with the public and prides herself on providing friendly, caring and efficient service to our clients. Michelle enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking, snowshoeing, good books and movies. She and her husband Jerry, have a daughter and a son, and currently live in Brandon, Vermont.
